eSIM Basics

Understanding PabaGo eSIM

Start here if you are new to eSIM technology or digital travel connectivity.

What is an eSIM?
An eSIM is a digital SIM profile built into a compatible device. Instead of inserting a physical SIM card, you can download and install a mobile network profile electronically. PabaGo provides digital eSIM plans for compatible devices and supported destinations.
What is a travel eSIM?
A travel eSIM is a digital mobile connectivity plan designed for use while traveling. Depending on the selected plan, it can provide mobile data access through supported networks in the destination or destinations covered by that plan.
Do I need to remove my physical SIM card?
Not necessarily. Compatible devices can often keep a physical SIM active while using an eSIM for mobile data. Your device's dual-SIM capabilities and network settings determine how the SIM and eSIM profiles can be used together.
Can I use my normal SIM and PabaGo eSIM together?
Many compatible devices support multiple SIM profiles or dual-SIM configurations. You can typically select which line is used for mobile data. Always review your primary carrier settings to help avoid unintended roaming charges.
Device Compatibility

Will My Device Work With eSIM?

Compatibility depends on the exact device model, region, software and carrier configuration.

Which devices can use an eSIM?
Selected smartphones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, cellular routers and other connected devices support eSIM. Compatible products include selected Apple iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel and other Android devices. Exact compatibility varies by model and region.
Does every iPhone support eSIM?
No. eSIM support depends on the iPhone model and regional version. Many newer iPhone generations support eSIM, but you should verify the exact model before purchasing.
Does every Samsung Galaxy phone support eSIM?
No. eSIM availability varies between Galaxy models, regional variants and carrier configurations. Check the exact device model and look for an eSIM option in the SIM management settings.
How can I check whether my phone supports eSIM?
Check your device's cellular or SIM settings for an option such as "Add eSIM", "Add Mobile Plan", "Add Cellular Plan" or a similar function. You should also verify the exact model specifications and network-lock status.
Can a carrier-locked device use a PabaGo eSIM?
A carrier-locked device may restrict the use of another mobile provider. Before purchasing, confirm that your device allows the use of another compatible network or eSIM profile.
Can I use a PabaGo eSIM on a Wi-Fi-only tablet?
Wi-Fi-only tablets generally do not have cellular connectivity hardware. A compatible cellular tablet with eSIM functionality is required to use a cellular eSIM plan.
Delivery & Installation

How Do I Receive and Install My eSIM?

PabaGo eSIM products are delivered digitally, making the setup process suitable for travel preparation.

How will I receive my PabaGo eSIM?
Your eSIM activation information and installation instructions are provided digitally after your order has been processed. Please use the email address entered during checkout and check your inbox and spam or junk folders if necessary.
Will I receive a physical SIM card?
No. PabaGo eSIM products are digital products. There is no physical SIM card to ship. The eSIM profile is installed directly onto a compatible device using the provided activation information.
Can I install my eSIM before traveling?
In many cases, yes. Installing the eSIM before departure can help you prepare your device in advance. However, activation timing varies by plan, so follow the specific installation and activation instructions provided with your eSIM.
Do I need Wi-Fi to install an eSIM?
A stable internet connection is recommended when downloading and installing an eSIM profile. Connecting your device to Wi-Fi before starting the installation process can help make setup smoother.
Can I install the same eSIM QR code on multiple devices?
eSIM installation rules vary by product and provider configuration. Do not assume that one activation QR code can be transferred or installed on multiple devices. Follow the instructions supplied with your specific PabaGo plan.
Activation & Usage

Using Your eSIM While Traveling

Understand activation, mobile data settings and plan usage before connecting abroad.

When should I activate my eSIM?
Activation timing depends on the individual eSIM plan. Some plans begin their validity when they first connect to a supported network, while others may have different activation conditions. Always follow the activation instructions for your selected plan.
Should I turn on data roaming for my eSIM?
Some travel eSIM plans may require data roaming to be enabled for the eSIM line in order to connect to the supported partner network. Follow the instructions provided with your specific plan.
Can I keep my primary SIM turned on?
Many compatible devices allow your primary SIM and travel eSIM to remain available. However, carefully review which line is selected for mobile data and consider disabling data roaming on your primary line to reduce the risk of unexpected roaming charges.
How do I know how much data I have left?
Data tracking methods depend on the device and eSIM plan. Your device may provide cellular data usage information, while some plans may also provide usage details through the applicable service or account information.
What happens when my eSIM data is used up?
Once the included data allowance has been consumed, mobile data service may stop or become unavailable depending on the plan terms. Check your selected product details for the available data allowance and validity period.
Can I use my eSIM in more than one country?
It depends on the selected plan. Some eSIM products are designed for a single destination, while regional or multi-country plans may cover several destinations. Always check the coverage list shown on the individual product page.
